The Practice

We at Tindale Family Practice have been providing health care to the Penrith Community for over 35 years. We are committed to providing high quality care to you and your family. Our practice is owned and operated by nine full time GPs (5 male and 4 female) with a team of longstanding and friendly staff and a loyal patient base. We are fully computerised and offer full-time registered nurse support, dedicated consulting rooms and a fully equipped treatment room, on-site pathology collection and Pharmacy. We provide a wide range of medical services to a diverse multi-cultural area.

Our first priority is to always provide a patient-centric approach so that we consistently deliver the best care possible for each patient’s needs. The practice has adopted the “Person centred home” model of care where we put the patient in the centre of their healthcare.

Our Practice Commitment

We at Tindale Family Practice are committed to providing high quality care to you and your family. All doctors at the practice own the practice and are trained in the broad range of problems dealt with in general practice along with accident and casualty styled medicine.

We believe your health is best managed by continuous care form the same source, rather than taking your care to different practitioners. All doctors carry our regular education and training to keep abreast with up to date changes in the medical field.

All medical reception and registered nursing staff have continuing education and training this Practice has achieved and maintained a set of Standards which have been set by the Medical Profession. The Royal College of General Practitioners (RACGP) sets these Standards and assessment of the Practice operation occurs every three years. The Practice is accredited with Australian General Practice Accreditation Ltd (AGPAL)


Tindale Family Practice provides an extensive range of general practice services, with ten doctors who work collaboratively, each utilising their experience and skills to ensure our patients receive the very best health care.

Our highly trained and experienced nursing team plays a significant role in the daily operation of the practice, supporting the doctors and servicing the patients by providing support in the well-equipped treatment room.

The Practice prides itself on the dedicated Chronic Disease Management Unit (CDMU) which personally manages patients with a chronic disease. This unit is led by a Care Co-ordinator along with a care team on three staff.

The operation of the practice is managed by Gary Smith JP, who is supported by the Office Manager, Ronelle JP and Supervisory Nurse, Pauline and Chronic Disease Care-Coordinator Vicki.

Reminder Systems

The practice operates a patient reminder system for a range of preventative services which we provide. You may wish to enrol in this reminder system, if so please speak to your Doctor.

Unexpected Delays

We hope that you understand that delays sometimes occur due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. At all times we will endeavour to make your wait as short as possible.

Management of your Personal Health Information and Complaints

We are constantly striving to improve the quality and standard of service to our patients. We value your input and any suggestion you may have that could assist us in enhancing our service.
